Sarah Nell Tullis

August 29, 1931 ~ March 7, 2017 (age 85) 85 Years Old

Mrs. Sarah Nell Warren Tullis was born to the late Mr. Codie Warren and the late Mrs. Lillie Butts Shipman on August 29, 1931 in Clayton (Barbour County), Alabama.

Growing up in Texasville, Alabama where she gave her life to Christ and united with the St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church and was educated at the Barbour County Training School, Clayton, Alabama.

United with the love of her life, she was married the late Mr. Samuel Tullis, Sr., on April 5, 1953 and to this union three children was born, Mrs. Linda Tullis Sellers, Elder Samuel Tullis, Jr., and the late Ms. Theresa A. Tullis.

Upon relocating to Dothan, Alabama in 1957, she united with the Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church. She was employed by the Dothan City School System, Sunnyland Packing Company and Wesley Manor Nursing Home.

Mrs. Tullis was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Mr. Samuel Tullis, Sr. Her daughter, Ms. Theresa Tullis. Sister, Mrs. Shellie Mae Kimble. Brothers, Mr. Clarence Butts and Mr. Raymond Roberts, Sr.

Special memories will remain with daughter, Mrs. Linda Tullis Sellers (Birmingham, Al) and son, Elder Samuel Tullis, Jr. (Montgomery, Alabama). Grandchildren: RaShond Sellers Radford, RaShayla Potter, and Sarah Whitney Sellers.

Sister: Mrs. Dorothy Ruffin and brothers: Reverend Willie Warren, and Mr. Clyde Shipman, Jr. Six great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends.
