Addie Merrill Nelson was born May 5, 1955 in Barbour County, Alabama to Atte and Lucinda Cox Merrill.

She was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Robert Lewis Nelson.

Addie enjoyed gardening, shopping, cooking, decorating, crossword puzzles, games and art puzzles. She was a loving, kind, generous person who was very strong, smart, stubborn at times. She had a giving heart, vagarious and full of life.

She departed this life on Monday, July 3, 2017.

She is survived by her children: Felisha Palumbo (Terry), Starla Smith (Leighton), Theodis Jones, Jr. (Christina) and Eric Maurice Jones (Crystal); grandchildren: Eric Maurice Jones, Jr., Courtney, Javoni, Mitchell, Corey, Yanni, Theodis Jones III, Jordynn, Ryann, Dacia and DaShawn; great grandchildren: Vantavius Dishon McKay, Jr. and K'Jon Williams; extended grandchildren: Chelsey, Mario and Lillian; siblings: Lucille Green, Lannie Holland, Easter Wright, Mary Tiller, Ann Jones, Tom Merrill and James L. Lynn; special friends: Geraldine Morris, Reverend & Mrs. Jerome (Tammy) Lister, Deacon Edward L. Sistruck and Bonnie Pittman; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
