Obituary for James Vernon McGhee

Mr. James Vernon McGhee was born on March 7, 1955 to the late Joe Charles McGhee and Juantia Hollis McGhee.

He departed this life on Saturday, June 10, 2017 in Panama City, Florida.

The presence of the Lord filled the room as we cherished the last moments of the wonderful life James lived.

James moved to Panama City, Florida in August 2016. At an early age James professed his faith in the Lord. He was also a faithful trustee and assisted with many minister in the church. And was a member at Allen Temple Church in God in Christ, Dothan, AL.

James was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings: Jo Helen Gaston McGhee and Charles E. McGhee.

As everyone that know James, knows he loves his family. He leaves behind beautiful sisters: Doris Jean McGhee (Hernandez), Willa Dean McGhee-Harrison, Betty Jean (Charles) McGhee-Jackson and Martha Raye McGhee-Jackson; a brother: Johnny Ray (Cynthia) McGhee. He leaves so many to cherish a lifetime of beautiful memories, including his nieces: Lisa, Aricka, Arlisha, Michelle. Though he love all of us in his own special way. Aricka (Raye) Jackson-Sessions went over and beyond for him and took him in their home with love. With that being said, he also loved his nephews the same way: Janon, Javis, Jason, Christopher, Justin and Joseph and a host of nieces and nephews.

James made everyone he came in contact with smile especially Annie White aka (Sister) he was joy to his cousins from coast to coast.
