Ms. Zola Tyer, age 76, of Dothan, Alabama passed away Thursday, March 5, 2020.
Visitation will be Friday, March 13, 2020 from 5 PM to 7 PM at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 11 AM at Georgette L. Scott Memorial Chapel, 814 Headland Ave, Dothan, Alabama 36303
Burial will immediately follow the service at Gates of Heaven cemetery.
Zola Mae Tyer was born December 15, 1943 to the late Willie Mac Bryant and the late Mae Ola Bryant. She was one of nine siblings.
She accepted Christ as her Savior and attended Patterson Street Freewill Baptist Church.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to Austin Tyer, Sr.; this union was blessed with seven children and one god-daughter. Austin preceded her in death on November 23, 1999.
She employed in the food industry for more than 50 years throughout the circle city. She quietly departed this life on March 5, 2020.
She is preceded her by son: Austin Tyer, Jr.; her sister: Willie Mae Bryant; her brothers: Edmond and Willie Earl Bryant.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Joe Tyer (LaRhonda) of Kinsey, Alabama, Martha Maldonado of Killeen, Texas, Stacy Tyer of Huntsville, Alabama, Tracy Salter (Isaac) of Mussel Shoals, Alabama, Michael Tyer (Tawanda) of Dothan, Alabama, Stephanie Tyer-Nash (Dwight) of Pompano Beach, Florida and Cordila Hardick of Dothan, Alabama; thirteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and a special devoted niece: Debra Freeman of Dothan, Alabama; one aunt: Lizzie Mae Jackson of Danie, Florida; two sisters: Ola Bell Brown (Johnny)and Linda McCreary of Dothan, Alabama; three brothers: Willie Charles Bryant (Betty), Bruce Bryant (Dehavilyn) and David Lee Bryant (Elaine) of Dothan, Alabama; and a host of devovoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
