Yolonda Renae Cassidy

Yolanda (Baby Girl) McDowell Cassidy; Known Lovingly to many as "Yolanda" was born in Dothan, Al. on January 3, 1979; to the proud parents of     Arthur Baxter and Dorine Mozell McDowell. She departed this life on June 11, 2026, at the Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, AL.

In the early years of her adult life, she became a member of Dothan First Church and later in life she joined Wings of Deliverance Community Church in Headland, AL; then later became a member of Headland Community Church under the leadership of Bishop Eric Minniefield where she remained faithful until her demise.

Yolanda received her early childhood education in the Dothan School System; Graduating from Dothan High School in 1997. After graduating from High School, she became a teacher's Assistant for special needs children at Rehobeth elementary school. In 2024 she received her Life Certification Basic Coaching License from Lumia University. Her business name was "Embracing Life Purposes."

Yolanda joined in Holy Matrimony with Roger Cassidy on          November 10, 2011. Over the years, she rendered unparallel service in her calling as a devoted wife and mother and great love and extended grace to her six children; whom she treasured and took great pride in their accomplishments. She lived her life marked by resilience and deep love for her family and church family.

Her Faith sustained her through life's many seasons. During her life she remained committed to caring for her family, making sure they were loved and supported in their endeavors. Over the years she rendered great care of service in her call, taking care of her mother and grandmother until their demise.

Yolanda was preceded in death by her mother Dorine Mozell McDowell and her grandmother Lorine McDowell of Dothan.

She leaves to cherish her Memories: a loving and Devoted husband: Roger Cassidy Jr., of Dothan, AL. Six children: Andre McDowell. Dothan; Kavecia (Ga'Monte) Horne of Dothan, AL. Nariah Cassidy of  Birmingham, AL, Sasha Cassidy, R. J. Cassidy, and Khalessia Cassidy all of Dothan, AL. One Brother: DeAndre McDowell of Ft. Worth Texas, one grandchild Katia Grace Horne; her Father: Arthur Baxter; Dothan, AL. Father-in-Law: Roger Cassidy Sr.; of Midland City; AL. mother-in-law Maxine (Robert) Clark of Dothan; Bonus Mother, Minister Linda Sistrunk, Dothan, AL.; Bonus daughter, Hannah Thomas of Dothan, AL. goddaughter, Khashia Mathis of Dothan. Her cherished family friends: Ricardo Franklin Weems and Chenell Magwood of  Dothan. Yolanda's Extended Families of: Headland Community church who hold a special place in their hearts for their dear friend and sister in love. She also leaves a host of cousins and special friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
