Mr. Willie Jo Stallworth, age 78, of Rehobeth, Alabama passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 30, 2021 from 4 PM to 6 PM at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 1 PM at Georgette L. Scott Memorial Chapel, 814 Headland Avenue Dothan, Alabama 36303.
Burial will immediately follow the service at Memory Hill Cemetery in Dothan, Alabama.
Mr. Willie Jo Stallworth was born in Evergreen, Alabama to the late Comer Lee Grace and Martha Williams-Stallworth.
He graduated with academic honors from Carver High School in Dothan, Alabama. He, then, entered into an illustrious and prolific career in the United States Air Force. He served a decorated career and retired with full military honors and decorated rank. Mr. Stallworth was a pioneer and was one of few African American men to specialize in US Air Force Aircraft, missile flight, and jet fuel specialists. He enjoyed time spent in Tuskegee, as well.
God's blessed servant, Mr. Willie Jo Stallworth, was called from his home, on June 26, 2021, to be at his Heavenly home in the arms of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Mr. Stallworth abided well in his relationship with God and Jesus and always kept it at the forefront of his life. He delighted in that relationship, and walked in God's light and shared that light with everyone he met.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister: Dorothy Kings.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory his eternally devoted, beloved, and loving wife of over 50 years: Karen Stallworth; one and only child, his much adored and cherished daughter: Tameshia "Tammii" (Corey) Owens. His loving daughter was the gem of his heart and apple of his eye, and with her he has an unbreakable and irrevocable bond. His beloved grandchildren: Bianca Owens, Corey Owens, Jr. and Colby Owens. He had a special bond and loving relationship with each one of his grandchildren and loved them more than life. His nephew, who was like a son to him: Eric (Daisy) King; his nieces: Pam King and Shaira (Kyles) King, whom he adored as well. Mr. Stallworth leaves to cherish his light and memories, an immeasurable number of family, friends, pastors, and special nurses and doctors. He will always live on forever in the hearts and minds of everyone whom was blessed to meet him.
