Verdell Boykin

Ms. Verdell Boykin, age 72 of Ozark, Alabama passed away on November 10, 2019; graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2019 10:00 AM at the Travelers Rest Cemetery, Ozark, Alabama.

Verdell Boykin also known as Tye, was born on January 29, 1947 to the late Eric and Lorene Boykin in Ozark, Alabama. 

She was educated to D.A. Smith School in Ozark, Alabama and Georgia Washington High School in New York City where she graduated in 1965. After graduation, she started her career working with the Equitable Life Insurance Company and Remained employed with the insurance industry until she retired.

She joined the First Baptist Church in Ozark, Alabama at an early age. After moving to New York, she attended the Mount Olive Baptist Church located in the city.

Verdell truly lived a blessed life and always made the best out of any situation she encountered. The three things she enjoyed most were cooking, shopping and making sure that her family and friends were always happy.

Tye received her heavenly wings on Sunday, November 10, 2019 and today we celebrate of Life Abundantly Blessed, Loved and Cherished.
