Ms. Valerie Jewell Bryant, of Huntsville, Alabama; formerly a resident of Dothan, Alabama, departed this earthly life on Monday, August 29, 2022 at the age of 54.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 11 AM at Georgette L. Scott Memorial Chapel, 814 Headland Avenue, Dothan, Alabama 36303.
Burial will immediately follow the service at Gates of Heaven Cemetery, 2106 Starling Road, Dothan, Alabama 36303.
Ms. Valerie J. Bryant was the fifth of five siblings, born on January 15, 1968, to the union of Willis A. Bryant, Sr. and Ophelia B. Bryant in Dothan, Alabama. Valerie professed Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She was an active member of North Highland Baptist Church, where she was a part of the Sunbeam Choir and Sunday School.
Valerie was a gift from God. She loved church, music, singing, dancing, and swimming. She loved her church and believed in the Lord. Valerie loved people and supported her family and sister. Her smile and laughter were like a beacon; she would light up any room. We will miss her infectious smile and effervescent persona.
Valerie was tenacious throughout the difficult storms of life. She was always positive and knew God was present, giving him praise. Valerie never complained. She as a Shero.
Valerie departed this life on August 29, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents: Willis A. Bryant and Ophelia B. Bryant; and a sister: Dr. Sandra D. Bryant-Jarrett.
Valerie leaves to cherish her memories, her brothers: Curtis M. Bryant of Dothan, Alabama and Willis A. Bryant, Jr.; her sister: Dr. Marian A. Bryant of Madison, Alabama; nieces and nephews: DeQuan (Bridget) Bryant of Atlanta, Georgia, Corenzo Bryant, Lorenzo Bryant both of Dothan, Alabama, Charles Cannon, Jackeal Bryant both of Atlanta, Georgia, and Xavier Davis of Columbia, South Carolina; great nieces and nephews; an uncle: Shadrack (Viola) Hare of Detroit, Michigan; cousins, and a host of other loving family members and friends; and dearest friend: Mrs. Stephanie Gilkes.
