Thelma Louise Rudison, a beacon of love and faith, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025, in Alabama. Born on November 6, 1943, in Hardwood, Louisiana, Thelma's life was a testament to the strength and resilience of the human spirit. She was the cherished daughter of the late Charles and Corean Lloyd, whose values and love shaped Thelma into the remarkable woman she became.
Thelma's early years were spent in the nurturing environment of East Baton Rouge Parish, where she received her education and laid the foundations for a life of service and care.
Known for her unwavering work ethic, Thelma dedicated many years to the Orleans Parish as a cafeteria worker. Her colleagues and the many she served will remember her for her big heart, sweet smile, and humor. Thelma's love for the Lord was evident in every aspect of her life. A devout member of the Church of God in Christ, she found great joy in attending church services, engaging in heartfelt prayer, and offering support to anyone in need.
Though she now joins her beloved family members who preceded her in death, including her father Charles "Charlie" Lloyd, mother Corean Lloyd, godfather, mother-in-law Mary Rudison Francis, brothers Charles "C.J." Lloyd Jr., Moses "M.L." Lloyd, Louis Edward Lloyd, grandson Darrick Rudison, and her husband Ruenell Rudison, Thelma's legacy of love and faith continues to live on.
Thelma's memory will be forever cherished by her children: Derrick Wayne Rudison, Ruenell Rudison Jr., Stephen Michael Rudison, Germar Rudison, Cheryl Rudison, Chinitriss Donald, Tomekia Rudison, and Reneisha Rudison. Her brothers Robert Lloyd, Dewitt Lloyd, and Henry Lloyd also survive her, along with her adored grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends who were touched by her generous spirit.
Thelma Louise Rudison's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of devotion, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to her family and faith. As we bid farewell to this extraordinary woman, we take comfort in knowing that her light will continue to shine in the hearts of those who loved her and in the countless lives she touched with her grace and compassion.
