The Reverend Manuel Dillingham, age 68 of Dothan, AL passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2019.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 29, 2019 from 4 PM to 6 PM at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be held Monday, September 30, 2019 at 11 AM at North Highland Baptist Church in Dothan, Alabama.
Dr. Manuel L. Dillingham was born April 16, 1951, in Black Mountain, NC to Ann Dillingham Hamilton.
At the age of 16, he found his spiritual calling which led him to earn his Master of Divinity Degree from Hood Theological Seminary and his Doctor of Ministry Degree from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. His passion and education would see him lead seven churches across four states and touch the hearts of hundreds of people; including his son who followed his steps into the Ministry.
At 21, he married his college sweetheart and love of his life and they built a beautiful family that included three children and five grandchildren.
He will be remembered for his charm, humor, kindness and his ability to connect and touch the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Dr. Dillingham is survived by his wife of 48 years, Myra; children: Mike Dillingham, Mia Legg and Meloney Dillingham-Hudson; grandchildren: Mike Dillingham, Corrie Hudson, Micah Dillingham, Leah White and Caden Legg; siblings: Linda Daugherty, Ronald Dillingham, Deborah Hamilton, Jill B. Hamilton, George Hamilton, and John F. Hamilton, and a host of extended family.
