Mr. Steve Spann, age 48, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away Friday, February 28, 2020.
Visitation will be Friday, March 6, 2020 from 4 PM to 6 PM at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 11 AM at Center Baptist Church in Newville, Alabama.
Burial will immediately follow the service at the church's cemetery.
Steve Bernard Spann was born on July 6, 1971 to the late Carl and Mary Spann, in Dothan, Alabama, at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center. Steve was 48 years old.
At an early age, Steve joined Center Baptist Church in Newville, Alabama. He attended Headland High School, where he loved to play sports; especially, football. Steve worked many years at the Yeast Plant in Newville, Alabama. In 2012, Steve relocated to Oxford, Alabama, where he joined the Sycamore Missionary Baptist Church in Talladega, Alabama. Steve was united in Holy Matrimony to Christa English on March 25, 2013. Steve was a loving husband and father.
Steve passed away in Montgomery, Alabama on February 28, 2020. He had a charismatic personality and met no strangers. Steve is preceded in death by his parents: Carl and Mary Spann; sister: Evonne Hayward; three brothers: Eldridge, Larry Joe and Felix Spann; grandchildren: Dashun McGuire and Winter Janae Carson.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife: Christa Spann of Sylacauga, Alabama ; his children: Shaneka (Arthur) McGuire of Ohatchee, Alabama, Euleen Carson, Ashley (Darvin) Duncan and Christopher Robinson both of Sylacauga, Alabama; four grandchildren: Summer Stone, Khonner Carson, Mason Carson and Artez McGuire; siblings: Jo Ann (Claude) Lee of Abbeville, Alabama, Carrie (Terry) Stovall of Newville, Alabama, Sharon (Bobby) Moore of Oxford, Alabama and Kenneth (Tia) Spann of Dayton, Ohio; special aunt: Gloria; special nieces: Keah Spann of Nashville, Tennessee and Kayleigh Haywood of Dayton, Ohio; special nephew: Termaine Stovall of Dothan, Alabama; special cousins: Gary Walker, Freddy Davis and Jeffery Davis and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
