Sherry was born in Union Springs, AL on the 28th of December, 1963, to the late Edmond and the late Georgette Long Scott.

Sherry was a caring friend, loving mother, amazing grandmother, and was loved and admired by many people. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Sherry. She loved an evening listening to old-school music and whooping some tail in Spades. Sherry was an excellent cook and won the family cooking contest for stuffing and she loved to brag about her kids, grandkids, and family members. Sherry loved to crack jokes and quote movies. Her exuberant personality was contagious to everyone she met.

Where anyone else would have broken, Sherry stayed strong. Through her, we learned what resilience and perseverance truly look like. There was no quit in Sherry. Just because she is no longer here, it doesn’t mean she’s lost her fight. Few people knew the extent to which she struggled because her joy for life and indomitable spirit kept her pushing through the pain.

She was preceded death by her parents; two granddaughters: Ariel Grubbs and Royaltii Scott; five brothers and three sisters.

Sherry “Pebbles” Scott Brant, who loved to be called “Momma” by her kids, “Grandma” by her grand-kids, and “Pebbles” by her family and friends, departed her loving family on the 13th of November, 2021.

Sherry is survived by her husband of twelve years: Herbert Brant; five children: Toni Scott, Shereasa Scott, Shereana Grubbs, Winfred Grubbs Jr., and Winnecka Grubbs; eight grandchildren: Toniah Scott, Naviah Hieber, Nehemiah Grubbs, TaeShaun Scott, Nathanael Grubbs, Nikaree Grubbs, Leo Grubbs, and Burlee Moore; five sisters: Maggie Lee, Georgia Phinn, Margaret Scott, Mary Scott, Dorothy Dillard, Diane (Horace) Welch–Isaacs; five brothers: Willie J.
