Sandra Henderson Life and Times

God gave us the gift of hospitality and love in Sandra Edna Glass Henderson, born July 28, 1955, in Geneva County, Hartford, Alabama. She was the only child of Reverend Benjamin Lee and Sarah Glass.

Sandra was a 1973 graduate of Central High School of Phenix City, Alabama. After graduation, Sandra attended Daniel Payne College in Birmingham, Alabama, where she served as Miss Daniel Payne, and the captain of the cheerleading team. Her educational pursuits entailed, Bachelors of Science in Biology, Class of 1976. Sandra met the love of her life Reginald Henderson in Tampa, Florida. They devoted their vows to one another on December 28, 1978.

Sandra took much joy and pride serving others out of the kitchen. She was known for putting her heart, soul, and love in the food she prepared for others. Sandra had an eye for interior decorating and making a house a home, while serving in the community and the churches she attended. To many, she was known as a sister, mom, friend, aunt, and so much more.

Sandra lived her life based on her father's motto, "Things Go Better With Love” and Romans 15:7, "Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God". Her life devotion to the world was to provide an open home and a warm welcome to family, friends, and thy neighbors. Sandra returned to our Father on Wednesday, September 18, 2024.
