Ms. Sandra Dawsey, of Ashford, Alabama passed away Thursday, April 7, 2022 at the age of 38.
Drive Through Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2022 from 4-6 PM at the Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 15, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Greater Beulah Missionary Baptist Church; 254 Headland Avenue, Dothan, Alabama 36303 with burial immediately following at Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery; 5 Piney Grove Church Road, Webb, Alabama 36376 under the direction of the caring staff of Scott's Chapel Hill Mortuary "Because We Care".
Sandra Denice Dawsey was born October 4, 1983 to the late Carrie Bell Dawsey and Sammie Lee Corbitt. She was a member of Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where she joined at an early age and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior. Sandra was a 2002 graduate of Dothan High School. She worked several years at Jack's Drugs as a pharmacy tech before continuing her education at Wallace Community College, where she obtained an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor's Degree from Rasmussen College. She was able to expand her knowledge and skills with the Dothan City School Head Start, Cottonwood Elementary, and Sunrise Elementary in South Florida. She had a big heart for her students and was passionate about her teachings. She had so much love being poured into her daily and her family meant everything to her. Her sassiness, her presence, her love, and her smile are what we will miss most of all.
In addition to her beloved mother, Sandra was preceded into eternal rest by her devoted brother: Daniel Dawsey; loving grandfather: David Aaron; great grandmother: Fannie Mae Neal; and grandmother: Sadie Holt.
She had so many others who loved her unconditionally that will truly miss her, including: Father: Sammie Corbitt; siblings: Johnny Dawsey, LaTonja Dawsey-Robinson, Lisa (Travis) Dawsey-Baker, Kim (Brian) Fields, Aprill (Kentay) Pittman, Jessica (Solomon) Dawsey of Atlanta, Georgia, Krystal Dawsey, and Marcus (Regina) Whitfield; Nieces and Nephews: she enjoyed to FaceTime with: Keyshon, Davonta "DJ" both of Tampa, Florida, Kenjana, Aliyah, Heidi, Brianna, Ja'Kory, Ty'Relle, Kameron, Trey, Taylan, Imani, Kameia, Makinley, Levi, Zahairia, Briaunah, Kehion, Nathaniel, Myeshia, Marquez, and Kylen; Grandparents: Thelma Dawsey of Dothan, Alabama and Janice Aaron of Chicago, Illinois; Special Aunts: Lillie Taplin, Luretha Laws, Thelma (Billie) Thomas, Louise Thomas of Dothan, Alabama; Very special cousins: Veronica and Francis McKnight of Dothan, Alabama; Godmother and Godsister: Elaine Pierce and Trakeyshua Pierce of Hillside, New Jersey; Bonded like sisters and brothers: LaKesha, Calvin (Candance), Tarsus, Ray J of Columbus, Ohio, Horace, Robert of Atlanta, Georgia, and Jazzilyn; Uncles/Aunts of love: David Aaron, Jr., Johnny Dawsey, Lawrence Dawsey, Dwight Dawsey, Ray (Lynn) Dawsey, Rev.
