Mr. Samuel Williams, age 72, of Dothan, Alabama passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2020.
Visitation will be Friday, November 13, 2020 from 4 PM to 6 PM at the funeral home.
Graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 2 PM at Gates of Heaven Cemetery.
Master Sergeant Samuel Lee Williams, Jr. was born on July 21, 1948 to Sammie Lee Williams, Sr. and Ella Mae Fordham.
He attended Carver High School. He, later, served in the Army, the Air Force Reserve, in the Operation Desert Shield/Storm and also served in Korea. He joined Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in his adult years.
Samuel Lee Williams, Jr. was preceded in death by his mother: Ella Mae Fordham; father: Sammie Lee Williams, Sr.; son: Samuel Lee Williams, III; daughter: Belinda Denise Brown; sister: Lola Mae Jackson Moye; sisters-in-law: Macie Salter and Sandra Butler.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 51 years: Jessie Mae Williams; son: Alphons (Tina) Williams of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter: Jessica (Napoleon) Newsome of Dothan, Alabama; three granddaughters: Destiny Williams, Dezaray Williams both of Atlanta, Georgia and Jaliyah Mackey of Dothan, Alabama; three grandsons: DeMarcus Williams of Clarksville, Tennessee, Demetrus Williams of Marianna, Florida and Alphonso Williams of Atlanta, Georgia; brothers-in-law: James Butler of Saginaw, Michigan, Charles Butler, Joseph (Jackie) Butler and Larry Butler of Dothan, Alabama; sisters-in-law: Joyce Dawsey of Dothan, Alabama and Sharon (Maurice) Harris and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and devoted people in his life: Tony Moore, Sharon Harris, and Maurice Harris.
