Ruby Frazier Life and Times

Mrs. Ruby Frazier, age 79, of Dothan, Alabama passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021.

Drive through visitation will be Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 3 PM to 5 PM at the funeral home.

Graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at 1 PM at Gates of Heaven Cemetery.

 


We wasn’t Ready to say Goodbye

God never place on us no more than we can bear, on September 28, 2021. Ruby Frazier, rejoined her heavenly family and our father, the master, the creator summoned her home, and she received her wings.

Ruby was born in Halesburg, Alabama on January 25, 1942 to the late Joe Grimsley and the late Victoria Stringer Casey.

She graduated from Henry County High School and relocated to Dothan, Alabama where she met and later married the late Jimmy Lee Frazier to this union four children was born.

Ruby Frazier legacy was the love she shared with family friends whom affectionally called her R.L. and grandchildren referred to her as Nan-Nan. Her passion consisted of collecting antiques, listening to music, social gathering, and traveling to the beach.

Before relocating to Montgomery, Alabama her home was the haven for everyone to gather, and she always looked forward for to spending quality time with family and friends. She was a faithful member of North Highland Baptist Church, she later joined First Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained until her father called her home.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son sister: Eloise Stringer Mason; three sister-in-law: Lula Mae Frazier Frost, Johnnie Pride and Annie Bell Frazier-Bivens; four brothers-in-law: Coley Frazier, Jr., Willie Frazier, Clarence Frazier and Willie Jones Frazier.

She is survived by her four children: Vincent Jerome Frazier, Gemetro “Necy” Frazier, Vickie Frazier “Missy” and Tamara “Tess” Frazier; she was dearly loved by her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; Because Kase Hart was present, in her life daily they created a special bond and he was the light of her life; three siblings: Cheryl Stringer Bruner, and Venise Casey Griffin (special brother-in-law who loved her dearly: George Griffin); and Joes Elbert Grimsley; two sister-in-law: Hattie Bell Frazier and Della Mae Frazier; brother-in-law: Reverend Clarence Nobles; three God daughter: Marilyn Graham Digg, Rhonda Graham and Suvena Cochran; two Godsons: Kenneth Ward and Tony Anglin; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends that loved her dearly.
