Roger McDaniels

Mr. Roger McDaniel, age 59, of Headland, Alabama passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2019.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at 11 AM at Georgette L. Scott's Memorial Chapel, 814 Headland Avenue Dothan, Alabama.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service.

Burial will immediately follow the service at Gates of Heaven Cemetery.

Mr. Roger McDaniel was born to Roy and El Francies McDaniel on July 18, 1960 in Dothan, AL.

He was a lifelong resident of Headland,AL and a 1978 graduate of Headland High School.  He was employed by Qualico Steel for 28 years until his retirement.

Roger was a free spirited, charismatic, humble, hardworking father and husband who loved his family dearly.  He enjoyed life and lived to see others happy.  He never once complained and only wanted the best for those dear to him.

On October 29, 2019 he peacefully passed away losing his battle with lupus.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Roger McDaniel leaves to cherish his memories: wife: Barbara McDaniel of Headland, Alabama; Children: Ji-Mika (Darius) Knight, Jasmine McDaniel, and April Granger of Dothan, Alabama and Draper Granger of Webb, Alabama; Grandchildren: LaDarius Knight, Jerell Knight, Royas Townsend, Asya Granger and Ashtyn Brown all of Dothan, Alabama; Siblings: Vivilon (Richard) Bryant and Herman (Tracy) McDaniel; Nephews: Jamarian McDaniel and Cheadavian Banks; Nieces: Latrese (Ralph) Davis, Ciarah McDaniel and Destiney McDaniel all of Dothan, Alabama; A special Aunt: Joyce Davis; a special friend: Antonio Brown and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
