Robert Earl Culver

Mr. Robert Earl Culver of Dothan, Alabama departed this earthly life on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at the age of 86.

Public visitation will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Funeral Home.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, September 26, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Pilgram Rest Baptist Church Cemetery; County Road 33 South Ashford, Alabama 36312 under the direction of the caring staff of Scott's Chapel Hill Mortuary "Because We Care."

Deacon Robert Earl Culver was born on February 24, 1936 to Alex and Daisy Culver in Henry County, Alabama.

Robert accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member until his health being to decline, his passion was to lead devotion and sing old fashion hymns, he was a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Ashford, Alabama. In November of 1955 he met the love is his life Lillie Lee and teo weeks of dating they knew they wanted to spend the rest of their life together, so on December 10, 1955 they were united in holy matrimony and to this union five children were born. Beside his family his other passion was driving trucks, which he did for fifty-one years for Summerford Trucking and AMX both of Ashford, Alabama. He was truly a man of God, and the best family provider.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter: one brother: E.C. Culver; one sister: Bertha Jackson

Robert leaves to cherish his precious memories his wife of sixty-six and a half years: Lillie L. Culver; his daughters: Debra Culver, Patricia Culver and Brenda Walker; his son: Darryl Culver all of Dothan, Alabama; his granddaughter: Brittney Culver; his grandson: Jordy (Veronica) Culver of Montgomery, Alabama; three great  grandchildren: Robert, D’Angelo, Arina and one on the way. He also had two extended granddaughter: Marie Culver and Athena Tatom; one son-in-law: Larry Walker; two sister-in-laws: Joann Wesley and Lola B. Culver; one brother-in-law: M.C. (Jessie)  Lee; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
