Mr. Robert Cameron, Sr. age 78 of Dothan, Alabama passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021
Drive Through viewing will be Tuesday, June 15, 2021 3-5 PM at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 11 AM at the Georgette L. Scott Memorial Chapel, 814 Headland Avenue, Dothan, Alabama 36303
Burial will be follow at the Garden of Memory Cemetery, Dothan, Alabama.
Robert Cameron, Sr. along time resident of Dothan was born on July 14, 1942 to the late John Wesley and the late Athel Hodge in North Carolina.
Robert accepted Christ at an early age and became a member at the Seventh United Holiness Church in Dothan, Alabama. He graduated from North Carolina School. He served our country in United Stated Army. His passion was driving trucks and his favorite saying was “keep on trucking steady stroking”.
He was preceded in death by his parents; nine siblings: David Hodge, William Hodge, Dennis Hodge, Ernestine Cameron, Ella Mae Williams, Evelyn Williams, Jacqueline Hodge, Edward Hodge and Uncle Snoop.
Robert Cameron, Sr. departed this life on Friday, June 11, 2021.
He is survived by his children: Ramona (David Dingle) Battle of Summerville, South Carolina, Rose (Michael) Jones of Titusville, Florida, Robert, Jr. (Sharon) Cameron of Charleston, South Carolina, Tamara Aiken of Charleston, South Carolina, Aurora Cameron of Charleston, South Carolina and Cicelia Cameron of Charleston, South Carolina; a host of grandchildren and great grands; three siblings: Gloria Marie Slaughter of Brooklyn, New York, Mary Lee (Daryl) Burks of Staten Island, New York and Denise (Courtney) Andrews of Woodbridge, VA; his fiancee: Willie Nell Sherman and a host of other relatives and friends.
