James Howard Cody joined the church at an early age and attended the public school of Cottonwood, Alabama.
James Howard Cody joined the Army and served during the Korea War from November 14, 1952 to September 18, 1954; he received six different medals.
On January 16, 2023, Reverend James Howard Cody departed this life at Southeast Health Hospital in Dothan, Alabama.
