Mrs. Renner Holston, age 83, of Dothan, Alabama passed away Monday, September 13, 2021.
Drive through visitation will be Friday, September 17, 2021 from 4 PM to 6 PM at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 1 PM at Georgette L. Scott Memorial Chapel, 814 Headland Avenue Dothan, Alabama 36303.
Burial will immediately follow the service at Gates of Heaven Cemetery.
Renner Mae, the daughter of the late Leroy and Eddie Will Neal, was born on December 21, 1937 in Dothan, Alabama.
Renner Mae was born and raised in Dothan, Alabama and graduated from Carver High School, Class of 1956. She later met the love of her life and married him on January 7, 1958 at 7 PM. After this union, they quickly grew their family. She became a devoted mother to her four children. Her sons were the center of her joy.
Renner Mae was a church going woman. She attended North Highland Missionary Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her grandkids. She worked in retail at Gibsons and later became employed with the Dothan City Schools; where she worked in the cafeteria until she retired.
Renner Mae Holston departed life, peacefully, on the evening of September 13, 2021 in Dothan, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her beloved sister: Dorothy Neal.
Renner Mae is survived by her husband: Columbus Holston; four sons: Terence (Buni) Holston, Christopher Holston, Bruce (Markita) Holston, and Cletus Holston; grandkids: Lachanda Grant, Naryan Thomas, Courtney Hill, Keith Thomas, Shavala Baker, Aisha Jones, Jamal Benton, Matthew Wright, Christian Brinkley, Xavier Gibson, and Jacques Gibson; 12 great grandkids; four loving sisters: Willie B (Benny) Ingram, Joyce A. Neal, Debra Neal all of Dothan, Alabama, and Annie Neal of Boston, Massachusetts; two loving brothers: LeRoy Neal, Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida and Joe (Annie) Neal of Irvin, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
