Ramona Johnson Cox was born March 16, 1936 in Perote. Alabama.
The fourth of six girls born to Reverend Sterling Johnson and Arcola Barr Johnson.
She is a testament to her parents belief that hard work and an education were the keys to a successful life. Her lifelong love of reading and learning resulted in her attaining a Masters of Education degree.
At the time of her retirement from Notasulga Elementary School she had devoted many years to preparing her students to succeed in the world.
She also learned to be caring and eager to be of service in Perote and went on to be a dedicated teacher, long time friend, and well known member of her community.
With gratitude for her being in our lives are her sister
Jeannie M. Knight (deceased), Alberta J. Simons (deceased), Myrtle J. Walker, Arcola J. Perry, Bettye J. Price (deceased) and her many nieces, nephews and friends who loved her so dearly.
Our lives will forever be blessed by her love and guidance.
