R.L. Vickers

Mr. R.L. Vickers, age 71, of Ozark, Alabama passed away Monday, March 9, 2020.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 4 PM to 6 PM at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at 11 AM at Georgette L. Scott Memorial Chapel, 814 Headland Avenue Dothan, Alabama 36303.

Burial will immediately follow the service at Gates of Heaven Cemetery.

R.L. was born on December 17, 1948.  He was raised in Dothan and later moved to New York.  He returned to Dothan, where he was employed by Cooking Good, Perdue and Wayne Farms.

R.L. was preceded in death by his parents: J.Y. and Pecola Vickers; sisters: Virginia Chambers and Mandy Williams and brother: Howard Vickers.

Leaving to cherish his memory are: Pamela Manley; son: Marcuis Vickers; sisters: Helen Ash, Annis Scott, Alice Aird, Sarah Whitehead and Shirley Thompson (Jeremiah); brothers: Robert Vickers (Carol) and Charles Vickers (Lula) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
