Patricia Ann (Akins) Corbitt

Ms. Patricia Ann Corbitt, age 69 of Dothan, Alabama passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021.

Drive through viewing will be Friday, April 30, 2021 3:00-6:00 PM at the funeral home. 

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021 12:00 PM at the Georgette L. Scott Memorial Chapel, 814 Headland Ave, Dothan, Alabama 36303.

Mrs. Patricia Ann Akins Bigham Corbitt was born on March 1, 1952, to Sammy Akins and Johnnie Bell Ashley Akins, in Newville, Alabama.  

She graduated from Dothan High School in 1970.  She was employed with the Southeast Alabama Medical Center, where she served over 15 years, dutifully, until she retired.

She was preceded in death by her grandson: Nathaniel Bigham.

She leaves her cherished memories with her five children: James Alter Bigham, Boris Fitzgerald Bigham, Benjamin Bernard (Carla) Bigham, Mary Louise Bigham Edwards, and Adrian Duboir Bigham, grandchildren: James, Jr., Terrell Williams, Benjamin Bigham, Trinity Russaw, Christian Edwards, Neveah Martin, Destiny McCloud, and Jasmine Kelley; sisters: Annie Willis of Fort Worth, Texas, Johnnie Johnson of Dothan, Alabama, and Janice Cannon of Dothan, Alabama; son-in-law: Torey Register; dear friend: Robert Corbitt, and closest friend: Tracey Long, along with a host of nephews, cousins, and close friends.
