Nicole Sistrunk

Robin “Nicole” Sistrunk went to be with our Lord on 21 April 2018 at the age of 37. Nicole was gifted to this world on August the 29th 1980.  

She is lovingly and forever remembered and treasured by her parents John Ervin Sistrunk and Martha Robin Hart Encarnacion; her siblings, Christopher “Devon” Sistrunk, Shanon Marlena Sistrunk, Cinnamon John “CJ” (AKA BABY JANE), and Antonio Justin Ross. She is also survived by her paternal grandmother, Evangelist Lillie Mae Sistrunk; her baby: Queso;  stepmom, Cynthia Sistrunk; stepfather: Luis Encarnacion; aunts: Debra Jean Sistrunk and Laura Ann Hart; uncle: Leonard Garrett; MOST beloved nephews and nieces: Memphis Ervin Sistrunk, Cedric Narkise Graham, Christa Elizabeth Sistrunk, Anthony Jontae “TJ” Nix, Christopher Devon Sistrunk II and Alissa Nicole Ross; her first cousins: Anthony Jerrell Garrett, Lynorse Dontae Garrett, Latoya Renae Garrett, India Danielle Garrett, Keira Tanae Dawsey, and a multitude of extended family members and friends as well as her “Augusta Family” .

Nicole, beautiful inside and out, encouraged all of us to be better versions of ourselves. She attended and graduated Butler High School in Augusta, GA; was a certified Medical Technologist and Phlebotomist; earned her Associate in Science in Business Administration at Georgia Military College and earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Troy State University. However, for her family and friends and all that were blessed to know her, Nicole’s beautiful and strong spirit was her greatest gift.

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free,
I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took his hand when I heard his call,
I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work, to play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I've found that peace at the close of the day.

If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah yes, these things I too will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My Life's been full, I savoured much,
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch,

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me,
God wanted me now, He set me free.
