Ms. Neva Jean Carroll, age 82, of Newville, Alabama passed away Saturday, May 1, 2021.
Drive through visitation will be Friday, May 7, 2021 from 4 PM to 6 PM at the funeral home.
Graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 2 PM at Mount Sinai Church Cemetery, 4850 County Road 73, Newville, Alabama 36353.
Mrs. Neva Jean Carroll was born to the late Ernest Morris, Sr. and Clementine Poke Morris on July 8, 1938 in Newville, Alabama.
At an early age she joined the Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church and was a faithful member until God called her home. She received her education in the Henry County School System.
On October 29, 1955 Neva Jean married the love of her life, her soul mate, Willie Raymond Carroll, and they where inseparable for sixty-two years, until God called him home in 2018. Neva Jean was housekeeper, caretaker, and an amazing cook. She loved her family and her friends, she enjoyed going to Mt. Sinai Baptist Church on Sunday. She loved going to Newville Senior Center and she loved Gospel sings. She met no strangers and she was “Big Ma” to everyone.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Willie R. Carroll; two daughters: Willie Sean Carroll and Sharon Bennett; a son: Willie Charles Carroll; two brothers.
She leaves to cherish her memories to her children: Patricia Rhodes of Newville, Alabama, Ray (Vicky) Carroll of Blakely, GA, Ronnie (Mary) Carroll of Woodbridge, VA, Tammie Carroll of Headland, AL, Deborah Carroll of Headland, AL, and Gloria Bennett of Newville, AL; one daughter-in-law: Joyce Carroll of Newville, AL; one god daughter: Joyce (Larry) Rhodes of Headland, AL; siblings: Betty (Earl) Fields of Newville, AL, Ann (L.B.) Murphy of Phoenix City, AL and Solomon Morris of Dothan, AL; special daughters: Deborah Graham, Marie Young, Tony Bigham; special nephew: Christopher Morris; special friend: Mrs. Pinkie May; and a host of grandkids, great grandchildren's, great-great grandchildren's, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
