Nancy Thomas Life and Times

Nancy Ella Thomas, a beacon of love and generosity, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2025, at the age of 59. Born on April 7, 1965, in Mississippi, Nancy's journey through life led her to Alabama, where she spent her final moments surrounded by the family she adored. Her departure from this world was as serene as her presence in it, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and faith.

Nancy was a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a sister, and a daughter—roles she embraced with grace, strength, and endless devotion. She was the heart of her family, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her love knew no limits, and her generosity touched everyone blessed enough to know her. Nancy's life was a testament to the power of selfless love and the impact one person can have on the lives of many.

A God-fearing woman, Nancy's faith was the foundation of her life. She walked in kindness, spoke in love, and lived with purpose. She found joy in service, peace in prayer, and strength in the Lord she served faithfully all her life. Her gentle spirit, warm smile, and words of encouragement lifted countless souls. Whether offering a listening ear, a comforting embrace, or a quiet prayer, Nancy made those around her feel seen, heard, and loved.

Though our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort in knowing she is resting in eternal peace, embraced by the love of God she so dearly trusted. Her legacy will live on in the lives she touched and the family she so deeply cherished. Nancy leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory. She is survived by her devoted husband, Allen Thomas, and her beloved children: Ebony Peterson, Keon Tyler, Gerald Tyler, Jarvis (Diamond) Tyler, Mariah Tyler, Kenya Thomas, and Kevin Thomas.

Her mother, Ella Jackson, her brothers, John (Kim) Lucas and Michael Webb, and her sister, Theresa Webb, will hold dear the memories of a woman whose life was a living example of compassion and resilience. Nancy's sister-in-law, Bessie Mae Brown, also mourns the loss of a sister not bound by blood but by an unbreakable bond of love and respect.

Nancy's legacy continues through her precious grandchildren: Jaz'zier, Angela, Josiah, Amiyah, Leanna, Armani, Nyla, London, and Zevy'on. Each of them carries a piece of her heart and will remember her for the love, wisdom, and strength she so generously gave. A host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and godchildren also survive her, each touched by her generosity and spirit.

Nancy was truly one of a kind. She will be missed more than words can express, but never forgotten. Her life was a living embodiment of the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant." — Matthew 25:23.
