Mr. Montgomery McNealey, Jr., of Dothan, Alabama passed away Thursday, April 21, 2022 at the age of 84.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 27, 2022 from 4 PM to 6 PM at the Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at 1 PM at Georgette L. Scott Memorial Chapel; 814 Headland Avenue, Dothan, Alabama 36303 with burial immediately following at Gates of Heaven Cemetery; 2106 Starling Road Dothan, Alabama 36303 under the direction of the caring staff of Scott's Chapel Hill Mortuary "Because We Care".
Montgomery McNealey, Jr. was born on March 11, 1938 to the late Montgomery, Sr. and Ardary Craddock McNealey. He was the fifth of nine children and the oldest son.
Montgomery was a faithful member of Union Hill Freewill Baptist Church, where he served on the Deacon Board; as well as a member of the Union Hill Freewill Baptist Church Mass Choir. He was also a member of the Gospel Travelers for over 40 years.
Montgomery McNealey, Jr. left his earthly home, surrounded by his family, on April 21, 2022 after a long illness.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Montgomery, Sr. and Ardary; three sisters: Annie Pearl Avery, Beatrice Lewis and Mary Alice Crews; two brothers: James Earl McNealey and Robert Earl McNealey; and two grandchildren: LaKeshia McNealey and Damian Tyrell Rich.
Montgomery leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 62 years: Alice McNealey; three daughters: Ollie (Alvin) Melton of Gordon, Alabama, Lorrain Moore of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Ghia (Larry) Rich of Kinsey, Alabama; two sons: Gaylon McNealey of Dothan, Alabama and Josef (Bonita) McNealey of Dothan, Alabama; three siblings: Alice (Roscoe) Twiggs of Atlanta, Georgia, Mable Crawford of Valdosta, Georgia, and Earnest Charles (Earnestine) McNealey of South Carolina; 18 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members and friends whom he loved dearly.
