Mr. Michael Adeboyejo of Dothan, Alabama formally of Chicago, Illinois departed the earthly life on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at the age of 65.
Michael Adeboyejo was born on July 16, 1957 in Lagos, Nigeria to the late Mr. Moses Ademola Kehinde Adeboyejo and Mrs. Florence Abiodun Adeboyejo (Nee Alase).
Michael attended St. Patrick Catholic Primary School, Idi Oluwo, Lagos State and Odogbolu Grammar School, Ogun State. In 1980 he left Nigeria and came to the United States to pursue educational and professional opportunities. Michael enrolled in Florida Memorial College located in Miami, Florida where he studied Business Administration and received his Bachelors of Science degree.
Michael planted his roots in Miami. In the late 80’s/early 90’s Michael met and married Marcia Brown. The couple eventually moved to Jacksonville, Florida. In his young adult years he had an elite social life. He enjoyed road trips, quality time with family and friends, and was very career driven. An entrepreneur at heart, he was always looking for new and exciting business opportunities. One of his first ventures was owning and operating a successful janitorial company, M & M Janitorial Service Inc in Jacksonville, Florida. Unfortunately, the union between Michael and Marcia ended.
Michael relocated to Chicago, Illinois in the early 2000’s to work alongside his brother Tony at Boye Janitorial Service, Inc.. In his later years, Michael spent a lot of time at the library and decided to continue his education majoring in Liberal Arts at East West University where he obtained an Associates degree. He had most recently enrolled into Northern Illinois University to study Political Science. However, that dream was cut short.
On March 21, 2023, Michael Adeboyejo departed this earthly realm after a long and brave battle with cancer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and older sister: Folashade Ishola (Nee Adeboyejo). He leaves to cherish, honor and protect his memory; children: Adetoun Shobajo (Nee Adeboyejo), Kendra Tyler (Nee Adeboyejo), Michael Hines and Shakedria Mathis; grandchildren: Halimat, Makayla, Lorenza, Sulaimon, Khadeejah, Michael and Marshall; siblings: Yetunde Odebiyi (Nee Adeboyejo), Niyi Adeboyejo (Nike), Segun Adeboyejo (Tony), Bukola Adeboyejo (Enitan), Gbenga Adeboyejo (Tola), Remi Sosanya (Dapo), Kofoworola Adeboyejo, Bode Adeboyejo (Betsy), Taiwo and Kehinde Adeboyejo; first cousin: Lola Majekodunmi, Dewale, Bunmi, Doyin and others; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
