Maxine Farmer Life and Times

Ms. Maxine Farmer, age 63, of Dothan, Alabama passed away Friday, July 31, 2020.

Drive through visitation will be Friday, August 7, 2020 from 5 PM to 7 PM at the funeral home.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 11 AM at Gates of Heaven Cemetery.

Maxine Snell Farmer was born Tuesday, April 30, 1957.

Maxine was a devoted Christian at United Christian Fellowship of Dothan.  She loved her church family and spoke often, and highly, of their love.  Maxine loved fishing at Mexico Beach, Florida, annually, with her mama and brothers: Harry and Michael, as well as cooking and having family and friends over to eat on holidays and spontaneous gatherings.  Everyone knows Maxine loved stuffed animals, especially if you have been an overnight guest in her home!  Robert, Richard and Maxine were all born on April 30th and celebrated their birthdays together, annually, as one of their traditions.  Prior to Maxine's early disability and retirement, she worked as a custodian, health aid and private sitter in local facilities and private homes.

Maxine Snell Farmer, lifelong resident of Dothan, Alabama, left us unexpectedly after a brief illness to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, July 31, 2020.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Cornelious Snell and Lola Pearl Snell; sisters: Pamela Fenn, Evangeline Snell, Francine Arlene Snell Williams Gray Duncan, and Angeline Snell; brothers: Henry Colon Fenn, Harry Delano Fenn and Williams Harvey Snell of Dothan, Alabama.

Maxine is survived by her two wonderful children: Willie Arthur Farmer, Jr. of Dothan, Alabama and Tamesha Manicaran Anglin (Juan) Pyatt of Mabelton, Georgia; sister: Dr. Irmatine Snell (Hansler) Bealyer of Jacksonville, Florida; brothers: William Michael Snell of Blades, Delaware, Robert Carlton Snell, Richard Clinton Snell and Ronald Clyde Snell of Dothan, Alabama.

Maxine is the proud grandmother of Jaylen Farmer, Makahi Farmer and Makayla Farmer of Dothan, Alabama.

Maxine's nieces and nephews: Adam Bealyer, Ivy Bealyer, Jacqueline Wildman, Jason Norris, Michael Snell, Bruce Snell, Gene Snell, Dean Snell, William Ray Snell, Leon Snell, Ervin Willliams, Francesca Williams, Regine Abrego, Lorine Gray, Lakeishia Williams, Kadeshia Kennedy, Tanesha Snell, Sadebra Snell, Robert Carlton (Carsuela) Snell, Jr., Gregory and Lois Holden of Groveland, Florida, Hector, Gregory and Vanessa Snell of Ozark, Alabama.

Host of cousins, in Dothan, Alabama, including: the Baxters, Millers and Williams families; Daytona Beach: the Daniels, Kings, Howards families; Fenn families of Orlando, Florida and Atlanta, Georgia and Fenn and Hollis families of Houston, Texas.

Maxine was one of the corner stones of our family and she will be missed.
