Mary Helen (Reaves) McDaniels

Mary Helen Reaves McDaniels, age 74, was born on January 19, 1952, and peacefully passed away on April 14, 2026. She lived a life rooted in love, strength, and devotion to her family.

Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wade McDaniels Sr.; her parents, Carrie Pearl Reaves and Peter Reaves; her sister, Rhoda Reaves; and her cherished grandparents, Flossie J. Sowell and Homer D. Sowell.

She leaves behind a legacy of love through her children: daughters Kareaion Eaton and Racquel McDaniels, and her son Wade McDaniels Jr. (Monica). Mary was a proud and devoted grandmother to Natea M. McDaniels, Noah M. Eaton, Wade J. McDaniels III, Chanse M. McDaniels, Sofi C. Eaton, Ava L. McDaniels, Fayth N. McDaniels, and William A. McDaniels. She was also blessed with four great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy. Mary also leaves to cherish her memory one godson Antwuan Brackins and two of her closest friends Loretta Vickers and Ludella Green.
Mary’s memory will also be cherished by her sister Elaine Reynolds(Truman)and brothers Homer C Reaves(Betty)Mark Reaves(Rita) Nathaniel Reaves(Ruby)and Michael Reaves. 
Mary will be remembered for her warm spirit, radiant smile, and the deep love she poured into her family. Her presence was a source of comfort and strength, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
