Mary Ruth Harper

Ms. Mary Harper, age 79, of Ozark, Alabama passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021.

Visitation will be Friday, March 26, 2021 from 3 PM to 6 PM at J.L. Trawick Memorial Chapel, 1048 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue Ozark, Alabama 36360.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 1 PM at Greater Old Salem Church Cemetery, 2116 County Road 38 Ozark, Alabama 36360.

Miss Mary Ruth Harper was born November 30, 1941 to the late Deacon and Mrs. Dailey Harper.  At an early age, she joined Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Clayton, Alabama.  After relocating to Ozark, Alabama, she united with Greater Old Salem Baptist Church and later joined First Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained a faithful member until her passing.  She served as teacher of class #3 Sunday School, an usher, and secretary of the Pastor's Aid Club.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.

She leaves, to cherish her memory: one sister: Suesie Harper of Miami, Florida; one sister-in-law: Dorothy Harper of Ozark, Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.  Special friends: Carolyn McCray, Eva McLeod and Mary Horn.
