Mary Farmer

Mrs. Mary Farmer passed away June 18, 2019 of Dothan, Alabama; visitation will be Friday, June 21, 2019 at Scott's Chapel Hill Mortuary from 4 PM to 6 PM.  Funeral service will take place Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Georgette L. Scott Memorial Chapel, 814 Headland Avenue Dothan, AL 36303, at 11 AM.  Burial will immediately follow the funeral service at Gates of Heaven Cemetery.

Mary Leen Farmer was born April 30, 1939 to the late the Ollie B. and Vera Mae Williams in Dothan, Alabama. 
 

Mary accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Parks Chapel AME Church in Dothan, Alabama. Mary received her education through the 9th at the Houston County High School. She meet the loved of her life Mr. Jessie Farmer, Sr. in 1974.
 

She was preceded in death by her parents: Ollie B. Williams Sr. and Vera Mae Williams; sister: Mary Jean Liggons; two brothers: James Randall Williams and Ollie B. Williams Jr.; father-in-law: Raymond Farmer Sr.; three sisters-in-law: Minnie Faye White, Martha Helen Ford, and Mable Farmer Frazier. 
Mary Leen Farmer (Boobie) transitioned from her earthly home to her Heavenly home on June 18, 2019 at home.
 

Her loving memories will be cherished by her family, her loving and devoted husband for forty-five years: Jessie Farmer Sr., two sons: Jessie Farmer Jr. and Johnny (Prince) Dawsey; five sisters-in-law: Rose Williams, Ola Nell Williams, Robbie Margaret Dawsey, Mary (Richard) Pickett and Faye (Jerome) James; mother in-law: Minnie Farmer; one brother-in-law: Raymond Farmer Jr.; one granddaughter and two great grands; one god daughter: Katie; as a brother: Joe Grimsley; and a devoted cousin: Willie Carr and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends..
