Mrs. Maggie Hinson, age 93, of Headland, Alabama passed away Thursday, September 3, 2020.

Burial will immediately follow the service at St. Peter AME Church Cemetery in Headland, Alabama.

Maggie was born on May 25, 1927, in Eufaula, Alabama, to the late Sterling and Ruby Key.  She was the third child of four children.  Love, faith, and hope was Maggie's life journey.  She was truly blessed to have such a devoted large family that she adored and loved.

Maggie accepted Christ as her Savior, at a very early age, in Headland, Alabama.  She, later, served as an active member at the Deliverance Evangelist Center in Asbury Park, New Jersey; where she resided for many years.  She supported her church in every way that she could and would.  She especially loved the Missionary Society/ Pastor Aide Club, going to Sunday School and Special Events/programs.

Robert and Maggie were married in Holy Matrimony during his military years, and she enjoyed the experience of different states and towns.  They did not bare any children but had her brother's and sister children, that took her for a second mother.

Maggie was always a giver and would not let you give her anything (in which you would have to push it on her).  She was truly a homemaker and was very proud of it.  Anytime you visited or stopped by Maggie's home, she would feed you greatly.  If you were traveling, she would have plenty; not only food, but some of everything that she could give you.  If she couldn't give it to you in person, she would send it by mail delivery.  She was truly a giver; that was the joy of her life.

Maggie departed this life on Wednesday, September 2, 2020, at home, after a brief illness.

She was preceded in death by her late husband: Robert Hinson; her parents: Sterling and Ruby Key; her sister: Emma Jame Wiggins; and two brothers: Sterling Key and Willie B. Lynn.

She leaves to cherish her memories, one sister-in-law: Ruth Lynn of Howell, New Jersey; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends; and a very special friend/cousin: Mary Thomas of Lakewood, New Jersey.

Thank you to a devoted, special niece, who was also her caretaker during her brief illness: Shirley McClamy of Headland, Alabama; as well as her nieces: Angie Fetton of Lakewood, New Jersey and Brenda Floyd of Jackson, New Jersey.
