Mrs. Mae Marsh, age 70, of Headland, Alabama passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021.
Drive through visitation will be Thursday, April 22, 2021 from 4 PM to 6 PM at the funeral home.
Graveside service will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021 at 1 PM at St. Peter Church Cemetery, 401 Hollon Street, Headland, Alabama 36345.
Mrs. Mae Katherine Marsh was born April 30, 1950, in Headland, Alabama, to the late Henry Lee and Elizabeth Ward Thomas. She was the second child of six siblings. At an early age, she committed her life to Christ and joined Saint Peter AME Church. Sis. Mae Marsh served faithfully as President of the YPD Department, member of the Stewardess Board, Delegate for the A.M.E. National Conference, Co-Chair of the Youth Awareness Group and a Saint Peter A.M.E. Choir Member and remained a faithful member until her health failed.
On January 21, 1973, Mae Katherine Thomas was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Thomas Marsh.
She was preceded in death by one brother: Henry C. Thomas; six sisters-in-law: Luvon Marsh, Ruby Nell Martin, Mary Ferguson, Jannie Mae Culver, Shirley Kirkland Thomas, and Emma Marsh; eight brothers-in-law: Hoover Marsh, Willie Frank Marsh, Baby Marsh, Elbert Marsh, Lemmie Marsh, Jack Marsh, T.J. Marsh and Ernest Marsh.
She leaves, to cherish her memory, two daughters: Ms. Felicia Marsh of Dothan, Alabama and Ms. Kimberly Marsh of Atlanta, Georgia; one son: Mr. Thomas Marsh, Jr. of Headland, Alabama; three grandsons: Latavion Marsh, Carlique Miller, Tylanden Allen all of Dothan, Alabama; one granddaughter: Destiney Marsh of Dothan, Alabama; four brothers: Jerry (Mary) Thomas of Dothan, Alabama, Terry Thomas of Headland, Alabama, Mon (Beverly) Thomas of Atlanta, Georgia and Robert (Ingrid) Thomas Headland, Alabama; four sisters-in-law: Willa Stanford, Simmie Marsh both of Abbeville, Alabama, Anne Rae Marsh and Dorothy Marsh both of Dothan, Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, neighborhood grandchildren, cousins, friends, and a special friend: Beverly Lewis.
