Mae Jean Emory, born August 25.1973, raised in Fort Pierce, Florida passed away on April 18, 2026, at Halifax Health System in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Mae Jean was preceded in death by her mother Charlie Mae Emory, Stepfather Marshall Emory, Father Gerald Stone, Grandmother Maime Lee Stone Brown, Great Grandmother Julia Mae Stone, Uncles Henry, John, and Jeromey Stone, Aunt Mildred Stone, and Nephew Jerome Freeman.
Born and raised in Fort Pierce, Mae Jean was known lovingly as “the taxi lady”. All it took was a phone call, and Mae would be right there, ready to take you anywhere around town-of course for a small fee. In truth, Mae would give the shirt off her back all while letting you know you should have had one on in the first place. Mae’s smile lit up every room and that unforgettable laugh could be heard from a thousand miles away.
Though Mae Jean had no children, Mae poured endless love into her nieces and nephew, spoiling them and caring for them as if they were her own. Mae Jean was a daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, a loyal friend and irreplaceable presence whose absence leaves a space that can never be filled.
Mae Jean leaves to cherish her loving memories: Spouse: Richard Hinson, Daytona Beach, Florida, Bonus Mom: Dianne Jackson, Dothan, AL, Sisters: Diane (Walter) Freeman, Ft. Pierce, FL; Lakeesha Stone (Eric), Powder Springs, GA, Brothers: Cory Emory and Steve Watts, Ft. Pierce, FL; Tyrone Stone, Dothan, AL; Gerald L. Stone Jr (Victoria), Jacksonville, FL; Tracy Jackson Andrews (Monica), Dothan, AL; Cory Owens, Dothan, AL; Tremaine Stone, Panama City, FL, Nephews: Cory Emory Jr, Quartez, Devon, Tytus, Micah, Ziylan, Chance, and Koda, Nieces: Andrea (Antonio), Erica, Daverney, Keeyana, Mauryon, Ty’sheeyana, and Te’Niyah. A host of other relatives, friends, and loved ones
Sleep on in the bosom of your mother in heaven. Mae Jean you will forever be loved, missed, and held in our hearts.
