Lucille Henderson, a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, was born on January 4, 1941, in Blakely, Georgia.
She lived in New Jersey and Minneapolis, Minnesota, before returning to her cherished hometown, where she met and married her soulmate, Buddie Henderson. Lucille was a free spirit whose warmth and generosity touched everyone who knew her. She had a passion for entrepreneurship and cooking, delighting in opening her home and heart to friends and family alike.
Lucille was preceded in death by her father, Leroy Patterson; her husband, Buddie Henderson; her grandmother, Mattie Mae Washington; her son, Lester Davis Jr.; her grandson, Ezekiel Davis; her brother, Willie Patterson; and her sister, Mattie Pearl Marshall.
She is lovingly remembered by her mother, Rebie Patterson of Blakely, Georgia; her brothers Dan Lee Sr. (Mildred) of Blakely, GA, Hosley Hall of Allenhurst, GA, and Willie Hall of Des Moines, IA; her sisters Bertha Lee Brown (Sylvester) and Rebie Mae Williams, both of Blakely, GA, and Priscilla Ann Lee (Alvin) of Des Moines, IA; her grandson, Timothy Davis of Blakely, GA; and a wide circle of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, extended family, and dear friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
Lucille’s life was one of love, laughter, and generosity. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, a warm home, and countless memories of shared meals, stories, and joy. Though she is gone, her spirit will continue to inspire and comfort all who were fortunate enough to know her.
