Lavert Hollis

Lavert Hollis was born on July 18, 1971 in Dothan, AL to the living Joyce Hollis and the late Clemmie Anthony.

Lavert attended Dothan High School where he graduated in 1989.  After graduation, he joined the Marines where he served from December 8, 1990 to 1993.  

In Lavert ‘s early years of adulthood, he worked with his Dad in the cleaning services.  After his dad, gave the business up Lavert transitioned into ownership of the business until 2003.  His wife then maintained the business until 2018.  Lavert then went on to become a truck driver until his departure of life in 2025.

As all that knew him, he was a die hard Alabama Fan!!

Lavert met Debbie in 2000, they married in 2017 and have been together a total of 25 years.

He is preceded in death by his Dad, Clemmie Anthony, his Grandmother Gussie McClain (Sweetie) and his sister Brenda Reynolds.

Lavert Hollis leaves to cherish his loving memories of his wife Debbie Hollis; Sons—Gabriel Dail and Devonte Reeves (Alexus Pouncy); daughters—Jennifer Tyrues, Shannon Hicks, five grand kids and his heart and soul two great-grand children Taylor Reeves and Taygen Reeves.  Mother Joyce Hollis (Ohfart), Sister Pam Hollis; brothers ; Cendric Hollis, Deangelo Curry (Traci), Clemmie Ray Anthony, Jonas Anthony, Mark Anthony (Christine) Timmy Anthony (Debbie), also a special Pops Larry Curry.  Several special cousins, nieces and nephews.  Last but not least a world of brothers of the Trucking World that kept each other awake and in check to make sure they were safe while rolling thos long highways of miles.
