Larry Farrier

Mr. Larry Farrier, age 56, of Kinsey, Alabama passed away Saturday, October 3, 2020. Family will be receiving friends of the family one hour prior the service. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at the Georgette L. Scott Memorial Chapel, 814 Headland Ave, Dothan, Alabama 36303; under the direction of the caring staff of Scott's Chapel Hill Mortuary "Because We Care".

July 3, 1964, in Ashford, Alabama, God blessed Tellis and Jossie Farrier with a handsome baby boy: Larry, affectionately known as "Big Spare".

Larry Farrier accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age.  He united with Grant Chapel AME Church of Ashford, Alabama.  As a man, he rededicated his life at Saint James Baptist Church, in Dothan, Alabama, with Pastor Albert Williams being his mentor.  Before Larry became disabled, he was an outgoing person.  He loved to play and joke with everyone.  He was always a big guy and loved sports.  He bragged about who he "whipped" on the basketball courts.

Larry Farrier found the love of his life and married Kristina Lane.  They were married for 17 years.  To this union was born a beautiful daughter: Rosetta Farrier.

Larry Farrier answered his final call of his Lord and Savior on October 3, 2020, while at home.  

He was preceded in death by his parents: Tellis and Jossie Farrier; grandmothers: Ella Blair and Sally Farrier; sister: Bessie Crawford; brother: Nathaniel Crawford; a niece: Sandra Fain; and nephews: Nicholas Farrier and Tyrese Farrer.

He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving wife: Kristina Farrier; daughter: Rosetta Farrer; a stepson: Tyler Farris; three sisters: Jenice Farrier, Tyler Farrier both of Birmingham, Alabama and Ella (Eddie) Evans of Dothan, Alabama; a father-in-law: Raymond (Trudy) Lane; a mother-in-law: Debbie Lane; a sister-in-law: Angie Lane; a special God-niece: Tandy Roper of Dothan, Alabama; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
