LaKisha Nichole Thomas

Ms. LaKisha Thomas, age 40, of Dothan, Alabama passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2020.

Visitation will be Friday, February 7, 2020 from 4 PM to 6 PM at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 1 PM at Patterson Street Freewill Baptist Church.

Burial will immediately follow the service at Gates of Heaven Cemetery.

LaKisha Nichole Thomas was born December 19, 1979 in Dothan, Alabama to Angela Thomas Sheffield and Anthony West.  She accepted Christ as her savior at an early age, where she attended Allen Temple Church of God in Christ.  LaKisha loved serving GOD and helping anyone she could.

She attended Dothan High School and went on to receive her GED.  LaKisha received her certification as a Nursing Assistant.  She worked hard as a caregiver at Signature Health Care, where she was loved by so many.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Lillie B. Colbert Thomas and Freddie C. Thomas, Sarah Holt, and R.L. Kinnie.

She leaves to cherish her memories two children: Kevontaye Cane and Keniah Cane; Mother: Angela Sheffield of Dothan, Alabama; father: Anthony West (Connie) of Dothan, Alabama; Brothers: Rozell Thomas, Christopher Thomas, and Deward Baker all of Dothan, Alabama and Lavar Stowes of South Carolina; Sisters: Sharell Thomas, Sharda Crews and Sarah Crews of Dothan, Alabama and Maraget Berson of Chicago, Illinois; Nephews: TyDorius Thomas, Christopher Thomas, Christian Thomas and Chris'Shaun Thomas; Nieces: Tanisra Thomas, Taleah Thomas, Christiana Thomas, Markayla Thomas and Christiaria Thomas; Aunts: Wanda Campbell (Calvesta) of Miami, Florida and Sue Norton (Greg) of Dothan, Alabama; Uncles: Freddie Thomas (DeeDee) and Eddie Thomas (Elaine); Very close and special cousins: Kimberly Jones, Dwight Thomas, Carlos Thomas, Jarvis Norton, ShaRhonda Norton, Calvesta Campbell and Otis Campbell; Special friends: Christy Harrison, Lydia Roberson, TaWanna Tyler, Mamie Graham and a host of sorrowing relatives.
