LaKisha Nicole Mosley

Lakisha Nicole Mosley was born in Dothan, Alabama on September 17, 1976 to Jessie Mosley. Lakisha attended Dothan High School, later obtaining her G.E.D. She worked as a Certifiied Nursing Assistant for ten plus years. Lakisha was deeply passionate about helping others, and this was evident in the love and care she brought to her work.

Lakisha was determined to gain independence and strength after her multiple strokes and never once let up! Her captivating smile and energetic personality illuminated any space she entered. Lakisha devoted her life to family, whom she deeply loved. Lakisha enjoyed traveling, spoiling her grandbabies, and spending time with her family and friends. Lakisha displayed an eye for fashion and also was an avid Alabama Football fan! Lakisha was a loving and supportive mother, sister, daughter, motivator, mentor, and friend. Her inspiring spirit, fierce personality, zest for life, and steadfast determination will be remembered by the lives she touched.  

 Lakisha Mosley is proceeded in death by her grandmother, Mattie-Mae Mosley, and her uncle, Edward Mosley. Lakisha leaves to cherish her legacy: her daughters, Janashia Mosley-Dawsey and Antaya Mosley. Her fiancé, Shunta Snell. Her son-in-law, James Dawsey. Her grandchildren, Elijah Dawsey, Brooklynn Dawsey, and Gianna Dawsey. Her nieces are Taniya Mosley, Tanita Mosley, Hannah Mosley, and Ariah Daniel. Her nephew, Eric Mosley Jr. Also, her siblings Anita Mosley, Bridgette Mosley, Kecia Jackson, Eric Mosley, and Frederick Mosley. Her aunts; Polly Mosley, Alice Mosley, and Annie Pride. Her uncle Donn Glover. A host of cousins; to name a few; Christopher Mosley, Shederick Mosley, Tiffany Jackson, Mircale Mosley, Eriyonna Malone, Isaac Mosley, Jaylen Mosley, and Zayvion Malone. Best friends; Rita Pope, Tonya Grant, and KaSaunya Thomas and a boatload more of family and friends.

 On Thursday, September 12, 2024, Lakisha Nicole Mosley joined her loved ones in Heaven.  
 “For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing.”
