Johnnie Mae Griffin Young was born on February 22, 1946 to Claudi and Flora Griffin.
She worked with the City of Dothan for a number of years until she retired. She was loving and caring. She loved and spoiled all children. She loved cooking ad providing for many. She was united in marriage to Albert Young Jr. on December 27, 2006 for nineteen years of Holy Matrimony.
She was preceded in death by her parents Claudi and Flora Griffin; one sister: Juanita Thornton; two brothers: Willie Griffin and James Robert Griffin; three nieces: Shirley Davis, Nattle Thornton and Janice Thornton; four nephews: Willie Davis, Louis Davis, Michael Thornton and Willie Thornton.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband: Albert Young, Jr.; one son: Bobby E. Griffin; grandson: Bobby Ray Springfield; great grandson: Kiotti Martin and Cameron Martin three sisters: Willine Thornton, Lear Mae Davis and Claudie Mae Bryant; one brother: Bennie Griffin; thirteen nieces: Wanda Davis, Cynthia Davis, Paulette (Jr. Earl) Marsh, Flora (Johnny) Bryant, Sylvia Thornton, Debra Bryant, Lovetta Bryant, Sandie Bryant, Sandra Bryant, Shambrea Bryant, Shawn Bryant, LaKeisha Thornton and Lesia (Michael) Pace; nephews: Tullis Thornton, Kevin Thornton, Clifton (Tekella) Thornton, Kachief McClendon, RaShawn McClendon, Lorenzo Corenzo Smith and Scotty McDonald; seventy-five great nieces, nephews; forty great-great nieces and nephews and host of other relatives special friends Tammy Lister and Brenda Barns.
