Joe Allen Brantley

Mr. Joe Brantley, age 66, of Dothan, Alabama passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021.

Drive through visitation will be Wednesday, April 28, 2021 from 4 PM to 6 PM at the funeral home.

Graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 1 PM at Mt. Sinai Church Cemetery in Newville, Alabama.

Joe Allen Brantley was born June 15, 1954 in Newville, Alabama.  He was born to his proud parents: Willie and Sylvia Brantley.  He was one of nine children.

He joined Mount Sinai Baptist Church, at an early age.  He attended Headland High School and Newville Rosenwald School.  He, later, went on to serve in the U.S. Military, and it was during this time that he spent some time in Belgium, Germany. 

On April 22, 2021, at the age of 66, Joe Allen Brantley went Home to be with the Lord.

He was preceded in death by a son: Tommy Johnson; his parents: Willie and Sylvia Brantley; and four brothers: Kenneth, Samuel, Bert, and Timothy Brantley.

He leaves, to mourn, his loving wife: Emma Brantley; children: Pasty Ann Johnson, Paul Johnson, Katie (Franklin) Barrett, Emma Teague, James Johnson, and Joseph Johnson; three sisters: Mrs. Dorothy Murry of Dothan, Alabama, Mrs. Annie (Lewis) Davis of Lynchburg, Virginia, and Wanda Brantley of Miami, Florida; one brother: David (Mary) Brantley of Dothan, Alabama; sisters-in-law: Priscilla Mitchell and Linda Mitchell; brothers-in-law: Van (Michelle) Mitchell, Carl Mitchell, Beda Jr. Mitchell, and Thomas Mitchell; three grandchildren: Amber Johnson, Marcelus Dean and Blessin Teague; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, four aunts, other relatives, a special cousin: Mrs. Louise McCray of Dothan, Alabama and friends.
