His legacy of love and strength lives on in his surviving family members, including his  loving daughter: Carmencita (Johnny) Hicks; sister: Annie Pearl Walters; brother: Fred Wilson; grandchildren:  Carmeshia Walker, Ronnie (Trina) Walker, Jahniro Hicks, Jawanza Hicks; great grandchildren: Khadajha (Ta’Corey) Hardaman, Miana (Eddie) Jackson, Khari Jackson, Jahymus West, Austin Daniels, Joanna Combs, Elli'Anna Hicks, Eelhan Hicks, Jahnila Hicks; great-great grandchildren: Tanajha Hardeman, Ta'Corey Hardaman Jr., Marli Jackson, Bali Thompson, Khazyha Jackson, Khazyus Jackson, and Julian Davis. Each of them carries with them a piece of Jimmie's spirit, a testament to his enduring influence.
