Jimmie Lee Davis

Mrs. Jimmie Davis, age 92, of Newville, Alabama passed away Thursday, November 19, 2020.

Drive through visitation will be Sunday, November 22, 2020 from 4 PM to 6 PM at the funeral home.

Graveside service will be held on Monday, November 23, 2020 at 2 PM at St. Peter Cemetery.

Jimmie Lee Davis was born June 29, 1928 to the late Mr. Lois and Mrs. Lillie Glanton, in Barbour County, Alabama.

She became a member at St. Peter A.M.E.C. early in life, where she attended regularly, until her health failed.

On November 19, 2020, she was called to rest.  She was preceded in death by her husband: Edward Davis; brothers: Willie, Mack, and Dan; sisters: Leslie, Emma, and Lillie and two grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish and celebrate her memories to her nine children: Annie Lois Lane, Willie E. (Glenda) Davis both of Dothan, Alabama, John L. Davis of Newville, Alabama, Charlie B. (Ezekiel) of Headland, Alabama, Virginia D. (Vernon) McLeod of Newville, Alabama, Nathaniel (Lois) Davis, Jerome (Shalonda) Davis, Rebecca Davis, and James Davis all of Dothan, Alabama; one sister: Jessie McNealy and one brother: Wilbert Glanton, and two sisters-in-law: Eva J. Glanton and Mattie Glanton; she also leaves 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
