Jessie M. (Walker) Readus

Jessie entered eternal rest early Friday morning, September 27, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on October 7, 1943 in Dothan, Alabama to Annie G. Ayres and Jessie “Bo” Koonce.

She attended Dothan City Schools and retired from Sony Magnetic Corporation.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Trevel Readus; stepfather, Tom Ayres; two special sister-in-laws: Ruthie Koonce and Lois Readus Gurley.

Jessie leaves to cherish her memories her loving and devoted daughter Challis Readus of Dothan, Alabama; two faithful sons: Marcellis (Julia) Readus of Sacramento, California and Marvis (Vivian) Readus of Dothan, Alabama; grandchildren: Marque (Tiffany) Debnam of Raleigh, North Carolina, Marlishea (Andres) Readus, Lexis Readus both of San Diego, California; great grandchildren: Madelyn, Macie and Judah Debnam of Raleigh, North Carolina; a special niece, Barbara (Lester) Bulger; second daughter, Shelia (Frank) Eady and a dear and devoted friend, Geraldine McElroy; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
