Mrs. Jessica Lafaye McCray "Braid Boss", age 38 of Dothan, Alabama departed this life on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at the Southeast Health Medical Center.

Drive through viewing will be Tuesday, April 20, 2021 4-6 PM at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 11:00 AM at the Dothan Civic Center, 126 North St. Andrews Street, Dothan, Alabama.

Burial will be follow at the Gates of Heaven Cemetery, 2106 Starling Road, Dothan, Alabama; under the direction of the caring staff of Scott's Chapel Hill Mortuary "Because We Care".

Life Reflections….
A Time to be born:
On November 28, 1982 in Dothan, Alabama, our Heavenly Father blessed David Lee Bradley and the late Linda Thomas with a beautiful baby girl, Jessica Lafaye Bradley,  affectionately known as ”Braid Boss”. 

A time to live:
Jessica accepted Christ at an early age uniting with Bibleway Ministries in Dothan, Alabama as a faithful member. She was a graduate of Dothan High School and received her cosmetology licensee threw an online trading school.

Jessica was united in Matrimony to Zaccheus McCray, Sr. on December 15, 2015. She lived a good life with great people. She was a very strong woman of God! Jessica enjoyed doing hair, spending quality times with her husband, grandkids and her babies Falcon & Red who she loved dearly. She was employed with TT’s Fashion, in Dothan, Alabama. Jessica had a passion and known for doing hair, drawing, singing.

She was preceded in death by her mother: Linda Thomas; grandparents: Corrine Thomas and Herbert Thomas; sister-in-law: Ursula McCray.

A Time of Peace:
Jessica answered her final calling from our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at the Southeast Health Medical Center surrounded by her loved ones.

A Time to be cherished:
She leaves to carry on her legacy of love, compassion and service to others her husband: Zaccheus McCray of Dothan, Alabama; her son: Christopher Holston; five step kids whom she loved as her own: Zaddria Latrice, Zaccheus McCray, Antonio May, Marion Turner and Arielle Caliste; fourteen grandchildren's; six siblings: Trisha Holston, Anthony Thomas, Terreko Thomas, David Thomas, Shannon Bivins, and Leanna Meadows; aunts & uncles: Robert (Mary) Thomas, Johnny (Charlotte Bivins) Thomas, Louie Clark and Joseph (Audrey) Bradley; her mother-in-law: Barbara Pierson; grandparents-in-law: Carl (Minnie) McCray; sister & brother-in-law: Senica Zmick, Zavier McCray, Minnie and Carl; aunt & uncle-in-law: Linda (Lary) Banks and Jessie (Carol) Smith; special brother: Gregory Bradley; special niece: Qudazya Thomas; her fur babies Falcon and Red McCray; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
