Jerusha Joyce Glover Brady Parish - was born to Lemuel Glover and Estelle Glover on March 6, 1928, in Abbeville, Alabama. She accepted Christ at a very young age and was baptized at St. John AME Church, and later becoming a member of Parks Chapel AME in Dothan Ala.
After graduating from Henry County Training School in Abbeville, Ala. she pursued higher education becoming a schoolteacher and taught English at Henry County Training School, and Cash Grey in Shorterville, Ala. After relocating to Dothan, she joined the Eastern Stars then became an honorary lifetime member. She has given her unconditional spiritual love to her family, and entire communities over her lifetime. Always one to share Christian values and life experiences with humor with dignity. Her grace, integrity along with peaceful spirit will continue to touch the lives of everyone with whom she touched over her illustrious life. She enjoyed cooking and baking cakes and pies for others in the community as well help raise her many grandchildren while treating them all the same.
Prior to moving to Dothan, she met and married JL Brady. Through this union she birthed 10 children, Charles W. Brady, Evelyn Mautez (Clarence) Collins, Maxine Borden Green, James L. (Debra) Brady, Donald Oneal Brady, Willie Winfred Brady, Herbert Jerome Brady, Kimberly Ann Brady, Reginald Allen (Chan) Brady, Shanetha Brady (Donald) Young.
She gained her wing to heaven surrounded by her family on February 1, 2026.
She was proceeded in death by her mother and father Lemuel and Estelle Glover, Husbands J.L.Brady, and James Parish, also brothers were Porter Glover, Juliane Earl Glover, Sidney Glover, LaGressom Glover, and two sisters Mautez Wilson (John), Willie L. Glover (Raymond) Morgan, her sons Donald Oneal Brady, Reginald Allen Brady, Herbert Jerome Brady and grandson’s Regginald Allen Brady Jr. and Adrain Collins.
She was blessed with 28 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren, 24 great, great grands! A host of nephews and nieces’ relatives. Some of her friend knew her as "Rooster”.
