Obituary of Mr. Jerry Lewis Salter

Mr. Jerry Lewis Salter was born on April 10, 1954 to the late Isaac Salter and Cora Salter.  He was raised in a loving family and grew up to become a man known for his kind spirit, love for others, and deep appreciation for the people who were a part of his life.

At an early age, Jerry accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and  Savior.  He united with Rocky Mount Baptist Church in Abbeville, Alabama, where he worshipped alongside his family and remained grounded in the Christian faith that helped guide his life.

Jerry found great joy in spending time with his family and friends.  He treasured the moments they shared, and his presence, conversation, and caring heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Whether offering a kind word, sharing a laugh, or simply enjoying the company of those he loved.  Jerry made lasting memories that will forever be cherished.

Jerry was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Isaac Salter and Cora Salter; his cherished daughter, Latrice Marcine Parker; his brothers, James Ivory Salter and Van Armstrong; and his sisters, Nora Lee Hutchinson and Ann Armstrong.

Jerry leaves to cherish his precious memory, his wife, Sheila Salter; his loving son Jeremy Salter; his sister Pam Salter; and his beloved grandchildren, Khylei and Zora, who brought great joy to his life.  He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, dear friends and all whose lives were touched by his kindness and love.

Although, Jerry’s earthly journey has come to an end, his legacy of faith, love, and devotion to his family will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.  His memory will forever be a source of comfort, inspiration, and cherished remembrance.
