Jeffery Jerome Efford was born on February 7, 1961, in Union Springs, Alabama to Catherine Efford and Clarence Peebles.

He was adored by many in his community and his presence was always felt.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Ida Mae (T.L.) Peebles and Beatrice “Bea” Efford; his mother: Catherine “Cat” Efford; his sister: Arwilla “Bootee” Efford; and his brother: James “Otis” Harris.

Jeffery Efford is survived by his father: Clarence (Gloria) Peebles; his children: Martez Terrell Lampley, Jeffery Jerome Efford Jr., Catherine Marie Efford, Deandre Cortez-Montagu, Christina Denise Sherman, Tylar Michael Montagu, Valerie Renee Simmons, Desmond Deonte Efford, Jerrica Howard, and Justin Jae Efford; six sisters: Jacqueline Davie, Catherine Harris, Thelma Peebles, Angela Sellers, Stacey (James) Joyner, and Jaime (Jermaine) Jones; along with twenty-four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews; one special devoted auntie: Ceceila “Sate” Scantling and one special devoted friend: Renee Savage.
